Hello

I have many, many, many photos (all in jpg format) on my pc. I would like to
move/archive some of them to a CD or DVD. I know how to do this, no problem.

My question is - can I archive a photograph, then delete it from my C-drive,
but keep a thumbnail of the photo on the Cdrive so I can find it again when
I need to ?

Hope this Q makes sense?

Thanks

K

It probably makes more sense to install a second slave drive, or invest in
an external drive.
The thumbnails seen in explorer are simply a view of the pictures on the
drive

No you cant, once you delete it from the harddrive its gone.Even if you
created a link it would say missing file when you clicked it unless you have
the backup DVD in. HD are pretty cheap, just add another as your backup drive
