Archiving in Outlook 2007 skips messages

When manually archiving a folder, a large selection of messages are skipped.
The messages are not flagged as "do not archive" but just in case, I also
checked the "include messages marked do not archive" box. Messages are not
open. Messages are within the time frame of the archive dates. I tried
moving to another folder and archiving from there, but no luck. Any
suggestions?

Archive works on the Modified date not the date of receipt or sending. Add
the Modified date to your view and see whether that is within the specified
dates...
