Archiving a large database

I'm trying to archive a large database for accounting and
inventory purpose (some tables have more than 200,000
records). I would like to archive by year. How do I
archive them if the customers have open balance at end of
year? Need some pointers to start this project. Thanks.

Mona I'm no expert but seems you need to build a query

using the necessary table(s) in the date field put a
condition clause from start date to end date. user will
then enter dates when query runs. This should include the
open invoices as well if you use the table containing
those records. this is by no means a detailed explanation
but if you need more info repost.
