Can someone tell me if the Archive.pst in outlook is backed up and migrated
using the File and settings transfer wizard? This assumes the archive file is
located in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook.

The File and Settings Transfer Wizard is not a backup tool. You don't back
up anything with it. Backing up a PST is simplicity itself. With Outlook
closed, copy the PST to a safe place, such as another disk drive, or burn it
to a CD for offline storage.

OK...let me rephrase the question to help you answer it.

I am am aware that FAST is not a backup tool, i am also aware that PST files
can be moved by O/S level copy processes. The orignal question was whether or
not the FAST wizard moves the Archive.pst file along with the other program
settings, my documents contents etc.

Since you can tell the FAST what files to include, I'd say so. Read the
