Archive + Delete

Grateful if anyone may advise if it is possible to delete messages with
certain criteria on sender + subject which have arrived for more than a
prescribed period, say 3 months ?

not using autoarchive. you could use advanced find and delete them yourself
or use a 3rd party tool, like auto-mate.
