Dear All,

I need your support to tell me how can I change the numbers in excel 2007
from English writing to Arabic numbers, it very important for me and I cant
work because if this issue I tried everything but it didn't work.

it showed how can I make everything in Arabic but still I didn’t find in it
how to change the numbers only from English to Arabic.
 
if I used the Arabic font it doesn't change the numbers it keeps the numbers
in English
 
i am using office 2007 how can i put in exel the numbers in arabic

Hi, can someone please advise how I can make excel display Arabic numbers in cells. When I say Arabic numbers, I mean ?....12345

I am using MS Excel 2010. I am able to type Arabic numbers on MS Word 2010 after chnaging some settings (Options > Advanced > show document content > numeral > context. However, this option is not available on Excel.

Please help. Ivar

You could try the custom format [$-2060000]0

That would make 1234567890 look like
١٢٣٤٥٦٧٨٩٠
If that is what you mean

Set the Digit substitution to Context, by following the next steps:
Go to Control Panel
Open Regional and Language Option (Regional Option in windows 2000)
click Customize, In the Numbers tab
Set the Digit substitution to Context
Set User Locale to Arabic (any country), following the next steps:
Go to Control Panel
Open Regional and Language Option (Regional Option in windows 2000)
-In Regional Options tab, change your locale (Standards and Formats in Windows XP), to Arabic (any country), for example: Arabic (Saudi Arabia)

select cell which we want to type arabic newmarals. click right button , select format cell,select alignment, on last of the column we can see 'text direction, . make it 'righ to left'

The following settings are needed to use context digits in Microsoft Excel:
  1. Setting the Digit substitution to Context
  2. Setting the User Locale to Arabic (any country)
  3. Set the Text Direction in the cell to be Right-to-Left

The following steps will describe how we can apply these setting:

    4. Set the Digit substitution to Context

  3. Set the Text Direction for cells Select range of cells where you want to write Hindi numbers and do one of the following:
    1. In the Formatting toolbar menu, click the down arrow next to the Text Direction button. From the dropdown menu select Right-to-Left.
    2. From the main menu, click on Format and select Cells in the Text Direction list on the Alignment tab, Select Right-to-Left
