Hi,

after some serious troubles my daughters PC had to have everything (I mean
everything as the harddrive had to be re-formatted) re installed. During the
installation of XP we seem to have arabic wods on the some opening sign-on
screens.

I can't find anywhere to uninstall this or just plain turn it off.

How can I do this??

Under Control Panel, Regional and Language Options, Languages tab,
deselect (uncheck) "Install files for complex script and right-to-left
languages (including Thai)".

OK, I misread this post the first time around.. maybe if you turn off
the Language Bar under Control Panel, Regional and Language Options,
Languages tab, Details button, Advanced tab, "Turn off advanced text
services".
