Aptiva 2172-71A ram question

the above is a 500 mhz system running win 98 from system restore
is the ram standard or proprietory??...ibm tells me it is 100mhz sdram
and costs $720.00

You could get a brand new P4 system from Dell with a LCD monitor for
less than that.

Crucial has 64MB SDRAM PC100 for that model for $35.99. Must not have
that special "goodness" worth $720.00, eh?

i dont think i can be bothered with farting around getting it in from
u.s. who are crucial any how??
are they reliable??
i can get it local for 108.00 which is not that much dearer than the
US$36 quoted
