Not sure why the error message pops up then. Have you already tried
recreating the mail profile (you wouldn't believe in how many cases this
brings the outcome)?
Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles
You can create an extra mail profile to test whether it actually works
first. Set Outlook to prompt you for the profile to make sure you start with
the new profile
