What's the best internet temp files size in order to speed up
internet navigation with IE 6 and adsl 512 mb?

While mine is now set in 32 mb I saw other pcs with completely
different values.

?

There is no 'best' number; different people have different opinions.

The whole purpose of TIF is to store elements of web pages that are time
consuming to download, so that if you revisit the same page they won't have
to be downloaded again. Therefore, the faster and more reliable your
connection to the web, the less your need for TIF.

The way to find out what's best for you is to gradually reduce the size of
TIF until web pages you've visited earlier in the same browsing session take
unacceptably long to load. Of course, there are many other variables that
determine how quickly a page loads, so you're going to have to experiment
over a period of time.

I have a fast and (mostly) reliable cable connection, so I set TIF at 25MB,
which is probably 15 MB bigger than I really need. But with a 120 GB hard
disk, who cares.

I have 512 adsl so though not bad, I think is better
reading cache than retriving elements each time,
I don't care to set 100 mb or 32 mb but I can't notice
any difference ...
