Appollo Printer

I have an Appollo P2200 Printer, formally manufactured by HP. I had an HP
computer with Windows ME installed. Now I have a computer with windows XP
installed . The problem is I can't make the printer work I keep getting "
this doesnot support windows 2000". What to do-- Is there an update to make
that printer driver work with both or am I SOL.
 
The printer is supported using drivers on the XP CD. You cannot install
Windows ME drivers as the primary driver for the printer.

Is this a new computer or did you upgrade from Windows ME?

This is pretty old, and you may well be SOL. DriverGuide has a driver
that's supposed to work for WinNT3.51 and WinNT4. You might try that,
but no guarantees.

uninstall the printer first.
 
This is a new computer with windowxp intalled. What Steps will I have to do
to get the windows xp off the cd?

They are included in XP.... use the Add Printer Wizard (found in Control
Panel, Printers & Faxes) and select the Apollo from the drop down list.
