appointments troubleshooting

My appointments will not open via mouse clicks. If I want to add or edit I
must aways go to the toolbar drop down menus. Is there a way to correct this?
 
Version of Outlook? Have you tried detect and repair?

I read and started the "detect and repair" but it found a missing CAB... so I
put in my installation disk and now I'm afraid I've lost all my data. It had
me start a whole new Outlook . So I thought " I'll just sync!!.... but when
I try to sync with my handheld it says "invalid profile" even though it's
the same profile name I used before.
 
Your Outlook data is never removed. Look for a file (hidden most likely)
called *.pst and use Outlook to open the file. All of your data will be
there.
