Appointments don't disapper after archiving

I've tried to archive a couple of months off of my
calendar to the A drive and it doesn't take it off from
the calendar. It still shows on the calendar and the
disk shows that only 32KB has been saved when normally
it's about 800KB.

I've done this before and had no problems with it. Is
there something wrong with my computer hardware or
software? Am I doing something wrong?

Check the Last Modified date on the items that aren't being archived as
you think they should. That's the date Outlook uses to determine
whether or not an item is ready to be AutoArchived, and a simple action
such as moving the item to another folder can change the Last Modified
date. More information and a list of actions that change the Last
Modified date can be found here:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;295657

Also, recurring calendar items will not archive unless they have an end
date, and then they will archive in X months/weeks/whatever after the
last occurrence. Recurring items with no end dates will never archive,
not even the old occurrences.
