Hi experts,

using Outlook '03...

When setting an appointment, the default duration between the start
and end times is 30 min. Can I change that to 1 hr without changing
anything else?

Thanks,
alex

depends how you are opening the new appointment form. if the time scale is 1
hr, appointments default to 1 hr when you click on the calendar. but if you
use the new button, it will remain 30 min.

Thanks Diane for your response.
I'm not sure what you mean by time scale, but I'm assuming it can't be
changed by the method I'm using, which is (as you mentioned) using the
New button, or (as I often do) by dragging an e-mail to my calendar.

Correct. Those always default to 30 min.

If your time scale in the day or week calendar is set to 1 hour, you can
click on a time and it will default to 1 hr

RIght-click on a blank area of the calendar, choose Other Settings, and
change the time scale to "60 minutes".
