applying group policy to instal XP not working

I setup group policy to install Windows XP to one win2000 Pro machine in the
computer configuration, software setting, software installation and set it
to assigned. When I restart that work station it did not do the upgrade. Is
there something missing? Please help.

Group Policy software installation works for .msi applications - not an operating
system install. You might want to look into RIS - Remote Installation Service as

OK. I was not aware that could be done [good to know now]. There is a KB link below
which may explain what happened, possibly due to lack of disk space. --- Steve
