Hi ALL,

How can I show (apply) my application form at client with a WinXP Theme
(Style) if Windows Classic style selected by the client for its desktop?
Is it possible to apply some WinXP theme to the application form if that
theme does not exists on client PC? Should I distribute the Theme with the
application?

Thanks
Evgeny

Hi Evgeny,

Do you have a specific reason for wanting to do this?

If a user "chooses" to have classic style XP interface then the reason is
usually because they prefer that look. If you try an override their choice
by still displaying the new XP look in your application then not only will
your application appear "odd" compared with the all the other applications,
but it will probably also annoy the user that you have stopped them from
having the look they prefer.

Hi Gary,

really I want to know how to develop application that user can change its
look (skin) by selecting from some delivered with it. Should I myself to
develop the skins or I can provide the aplications with predifiend (may be
downloaded and distributed with application) XP Themes?

I don't think that this is possible with Windows XP's Visual Styles.
Maybe these links help:
