We have a windows 2000 (sp4) print server running a number of printers. This
is our backup print server so we don't use it a lot.
We've added some new printers so I was creating them on the backup server
but noticed that I couldn't change any settings on the printers.
For instance one of the printers has a duplex unit - enabling it is a simple
tick in a box on the printer properties. The duplex unit is working and is
displayed in the printer capabilities. When I tick the box to enable it,
click ok to save and go back and check the printer I find that it has not
saved the settings.
On further examination I've found that I can't save any changes (paper/tray
assignment, quick printing sets, etc) and even when I make a change the
'Apply' button stays grayed out and unselectable.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
