Hello,

I have a Windows NT 4 domain with a lot of business application running as components on Component Service in some member servers running Windows 2000.
I intend upgrade my domain to AD running on Windows 2003. Is there any special point regard this kind of application (COM+ applications) that I have to consider when doing that (Considering that I have the infraestructure already ok)? Is it a smooth process?

TIA
Andre

Test this scenario on a Windows Server 2003 box prior to upgrade, as COM+
security in Windows Server 2003 is tightened up, so there could be some
problems. I know I had to change some security settings on COM+ packages for
them to work, but I must admit, that this was not an upgraded machine, but a
fresh install. This applies if you intend to run COM+ packages on Windows
Server 2003. If you still plan to use Windows 2000 Server and upgrade just
domain controllers, than there should be no problems.
