That would be cool

It seems you are not enabling Option Strict. Enable it in the project
properties and the compiler might find the error for you. Jobs a good'n!

I did read something in this newsgroup about Use Option Strict On
That has something to do with application errors.
I don't remember where I did read that.

What the hell is "Option Strict"??? Never heard of it!

Nick.

Thank you for the tip. I didn't know that something like "Option Strict On"
exists. Very useful.

"Simple fact is that if I wanted to use 'Option Strict On' I would do"

Nick.

"Simple fact is that if I wanted to use 'Option Strict On' I would do"

I "would" start using it, even after all I have said, simply for continuity
reasons, but every time I switch it on my current application and compile I
am inundated with type conversion errors and the like, what I've always is

"If it isn't broken, don't fix it!"

Pah! :-)

Nick.

I take it these things can only work on DLL's?

CJ,
I use NUnit from www.nunit.org.

I also like features of CSUnit from www.csunit.org

Both work with VB.NET.

There is an on going debate if the above can & should be used for UI.

I believe Rational Suite TestStudio is the newer version of Visual Test:
http://www.rational.com/products/tstudio/index.jsp

http://www.rational.com/products/visual_test/index.jsp

I understand both support UI testing...

Hope this helps
Jay

CJ,
I take it you mean the first two.

I have only used them with DLLs.

My understanding is the first two loads the assembly via reflection into a
new AddDomain to execute classes in them, I see no reason this could not
occur on an exe. (The forms designer does it for base forms).

Hope this helps
Jay
