I have a Windows 2000 SP4 server that runs a reporting application. It is
running very slowly, a report that takes 5-10 minutes via a workstation takes
50 minutes on the server. Both query the same oracle database so should have
relatively the same performance, the server is dedicated to the task of
running the reports.
Using lperf, I see that this server only provides roughly 15 Mbits/sec
throughput where other servers are 80+= Mbits/sec. What can I check or do to
see why this would be so much slower?
