A couple of months ago computer crashed. I was told no way to save my info, have to start fresh with application recovery cd's....no problem, been up and running again but I discovered a couple of cd's I did not run. Can I run them to get further programs without erasing info that I have donloaded in the meantime?

Hi Rick,

It depends on the CD's, but usually the application recovery disks just
allow you to reinstall bundled software. This should not result in the loss
of any data. That would possibly be the result if you did a complete system
recovery.

For Sony applications recovery CD, when you insert Disk 1, the setup screen
will list applications that can be recovered. If you select an application
that requires another disk, you will be asked to insert it. Some Sony
computers come with additional applications recovery CDs for programs like
Word Perfect or Click to DVD. The label on these CDs tell what application
they install.
