Application Not found - when trying to open my e-mail attachments

when I try to open all my e-mail attachments I get a message thats says "
applictation not found". Why is this happening and how do open attachments ?

In order to open an attachment, you must have installed the appliction that
can open the attachment. For example, if you receive a .doc attachment, you
must have either Word, OpenOffice, or Word Viewer installed.

If you do have such an application installed, then your Windows file
associations are broken and you must repair them. Since that's not an Outlook
issue but a Windows issue, the answer is out of scope for this newsgroup.
