I tried TGSoft's "StyleXP" in an attempt to change the color of the
Start button. Couldn't find a way with it, so I uninstalled the
software.
When I uninstalled it, I noticed that the menu titles and toolbars in
all of my non MS-integrated applications (and some MS-integrated ones,
too) had changed colors. I did make sure to re-apply my desktop theme.
I'm using XP Style (Silver) as the base with custom cursors and sounds.
Everything returned to normal, except for the toolbar and menu colors.
I checked the Display Preferences \ Appearance \ Advanced color
settings, and they were set correctly. I changed the color for the
Menu item, and this corrected the coloring on the program's main
interface, but now the flyout menus +themselves+ are in 3D and the same
color as the programs' main UI instead of the XP Flat/White I had
decided I liked.
