i just got my DVD from Microsoft, i loaded it into the dvd drive, and this
message came up:

"This application has failed to sart because SPWIZENG.DLL was not found.
Re-installing the application may fix this problem"

i hit ok, and i get a second error, it reads:

"the file 'autorun.dll' could not be loaded or is corrupt. Setup cannot
continue. Error code is [0x7E]"

i then ripped the dvd onto a new file on my desktop, then ran it again. the
same thing happened, and that took 30 minutes, i am now on my 3rd hour trying
to get this $10 beta to work that i ordered a week ago, anyone can help, it
would be great, and it isnt my computer, i had to buy another 1 gb of ram and
a 512 mb vid card to play Battlefield 2, that cost me $500, my compuer is up
to date and fast, i have windows xp, i have not had any problems installing
any software or hardware. oh, after i hit ok, on the second error, everything
goes back to the beginning, i have tried 5 times now,

anyone had this problem?

Sounds like bad or cheap RAM to me...

Errors like this usually occur when an installer triggers a page to RAM for
a temporary file to be held there while another thread occurs. Cheap or bad
ram cannot handle the stress of the handle/trigger, and you get an error
like you describe.

You can confirm this by either using known good RAM, or installing the disc
on a different computer (the activation key can be used on up to 10
different computers).

(Note: could also be mismatched RAM; mixing RAM from different
manufacturers).

I have seen BF2 "run" on computers with less than 1GB of RAM and a 256MB
video card, so your "upgrade" seems a little excessive.

I would run Memtest86 overnight and see what the errors are.
