Application Failure

I am using Windows XP SP2. My system updates regularly with Windows Update.I
also have ZoneAlarm 6.5 and AVG 7.5 anti-virus installed.

When I play chess and competes with the computer with the clock/timer on
both sides running, the computer shuts down automatically after about 3
minutes of play. The system is alright when I play card games or use MS
Office Application Software. I also encounter the same problem with the CPU
shutting down itself when I do a complete scan with AVG on the system. It
shuts down after scanning about half-way through.

When I reboot, an error message pops up:†Isass.exe Application Error.
System fails to initialize properly (0xc0000142).Click ok to terminate the
applicationâ€. I need to wait for about 3 minutes later to be able to restart
the system successfully again, otherwise the same message will pop up or the
system shuts without displaying the error message.

It seems that only these two programs are affected. Otherwise the system
functions properly.

Isass is malware, but Lsass is a legitimate system file. Schedule a
bootscan, or run the scan in Safe mode.
