Event Type: Warning

Event Category: None
Event ID: 16
Date: 3/31/2007
Time: 12:18:24 PM
User: N/A
Computer: LONGHORN-XA1KOA
Description:
The description for Event ID ( 16 ) in Source ( SimpTcp ) cannot be found.
The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message

information is part of the event: The event log file is corrupt..

I cannot find any information to troubleshoot this event. There is
also the same message with an Event 15 ID. Can anyone help? I have no scsi

Control Panel|Administrative Tools|Services|Event Log Service|General, set
the "Startup Type:" to "Disabled" restart the pc, then delete (or move) the
corrupt *.evt file(s) from %systemroot%\system32\config then set the Event
Log Service "Startup Type:" back to "Automatic", restart for effect.

This looked like a 100%solution. I followed the steps and deleted the
AppEvent.evt. After the restart I cleared the App evet log and restarted
again.
End result was nothing changed.
