a bad image error the application or DLL C:WINDOWS\system32\ACTXPRXY.DLL
appears regularly i know it's probably spyware and i located it but don't
know if i can delete it or how to

The error seems often to occur when using the Java Machine, but usually in
a long "dump" of errors. Try un- and reinstalling Java, and see if the
problem persists.

And, no, I don't think it's spyware. See:

Its usually a windows activeX libruary, what do the properties of the file
say?
On my sys its version 6.0.2900.5512, 96kb ActiveX Interface Marshaling
Library

Try running the system file checker - see win help
