Hi.

I'm trying to make a simple slideshow using 40 pictures so that i can upload
it onto my youtube videos. I manage to create a title with effects and i
begin to add pictures into the timeline, as normal, as you would do with
other clips.

However, when I reach the 8th clip and insert a picture into it, windows
movie maker automatically just closes itself and i lost all the progress i
made! I then repeated up to that point and save the project before i got to
the 8th clip, but i still can't get past this as it keeps closing itself down
and it is very frustrating!!

Can someone please give me some advice as to a solution to the problem? Are
there any limits with the numbers of pictures you can add to a slideshow
perhaps?

Thanks

First...let me say that PhotoStory 3 might
be a better choice of software for a project
that only includes still images.

40 pictures shouldn't be a problem...more
than likely you have an incompatibility issue
with one or more source files or you need
to do some maintenance on your computer.

Have a look at the following article:

To allow more memory for Movie Maker....
Before you open Movie Maker...disconnect
from the net and close all programs...especially
virus scanners.

Also try the following.

(check the two boxes..."Automatically fix file

the next time you restart your computer.
(run error checking repeatedly until it finds
no errors)
