I made an .msi file using WinstallLE and it installs fine. But if the program gets upgraded it reverts back to the original setup. The program is symantec antivirus corporate edition 8.1 and I was installing it first with it setup for per user. Doing it that way it would need to be setup each time I booted. It wouldn't install but if you double clicked on the systray icon it would reinstall for that user. But after setting using the Veritas software console to set it to install per machine it seemed to work fine until it is upgraded via automatic retrieval of product upgrades or virus definition upgrades. Then it installs back to the original .msi configuration and if you double click on the systray icon, it reinstalls for the user. Any ideas?

I read that it is not a very good idea to install Antivirus programs using a
re-wrapping tool like WinInstall to create the MSI. The recommended
solution was to obtain an MSI from the company to install from.
