Applets in Powerpoint

I am inserting a slide or two that have an applet on it.
The method that I used is to set the applet up in a web
page, use the "add a web page" plugin that I got off this
newsgroup and it looks good and runs well.

Two questions:
1. Is this the best way to get an applet into powerpoint?
(the applet and slide are full screen with no controls,
buttons, or pointers showing.)
2.How do I get the flash of white off my screen when it
accesses the web page? I have turned everything black
that I can find, but when that slide loads, I get several
white flashes that are distracting.

Chuck,

I wouldn't recommend setting the applet size to 100% of slide area since you
will have problems navigating the slideshow if the control takes up the
entire slide area.

accesses the web page? I have turned everything black
that I can find, but when that slide loads, I get several

Have you tried it with 'eliminate residual flashing' option while entering
the URLs? That would reduced the flashing to some extent.

I am advancing the presentation with a mouse click. I
have also set a timer which advances it to the next slide.
Yes sir, I have engaged the 'eliminate residual flashing'
and it helps, but there is still a great deal of white
flash when it loads. I am using your plug-in. It works
very well. Thank you very much for your help and hard
work in providing these tools and support!
