Hello, I was trying to take out the Windows Messenger from my task bar,
because I just wanted to use the Messenger. I ended up clicking on "Add/
Remove Windows components" and checked the Windows Messenger and Messenger
Explorer boxes.
But when I restarted the computer, the TASK BAR wasn't like the windows XP
one...
It's like that old grey... I clicked already on the task bar properties, but
anything leads me to HOW TO CHANGE the appearence of the task bar.
PLEASE, HELP ME!

Follow these steps:
1.Right click the Start Button
2.Left Click Prosperities
3. You should be at the Start Menu Tab of the Task bar and Start Menu
Prosperities Box
4. Insure that Start menu is selected in the radial dot, and that Classic
Start Menu is clear
5. Click Apply
6. Click OK

Send a response if this works, I am calling this just off the top of my
head.

HI, THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP...
BUT THE PROBLEM IS... I had already done that before, it's weird because
when I click to see the properties, the example showed the new windows XP
task bar, but the one I have now is that old one (grey). It doesn't matter if
it's on the Classic Style or the normal one. The problem is that the task bar
is not that cool one from the windows XP... I really don't understand how and
why it happened!

Try under:

Control Panel -> Display Properties -> Appearance tab

Change the Windows & buttons style to classic -> Apply -> change it back to XP -> Apply
