I tried all the options you provided with no luck. When I would select
XP Theme, the Windows and Buttons drop down would not show anything.
You drop it down and it would give you Blank and Classic Style.
Could my Luna be corrupt? If so where do I get a replacement file?

214. Windows/Buttons Greyed Out -Appearance
If the Windows XP Style choice isn't available...
Visual styles are implemented by the Themes service. If the service
isn't running, Windows reverts to the classic Windows styles, which
doesn't rely on the Themes service.
To restore the Windows XP styles.
Open Services...
Start | Run | Type: services.msc | Click OK |
Scroll down to and double click Themes | Set to Automatic under Startup
type | Click the Start button | When Themes starts, close Services
If that doesn't fix the problem, open System Properties.
Right click My Computer |Properties | Advanced tab |
Under Performance, Settings button | Visual Effects tab
Select Use Visual Styles On Windows And Buttons | Apply | OK
-----
Make sure that you have Windows XP as a Theme choice.
Right Click My Computer| Properties | Advanced tab | Performance |
Settings button | Visual Effects tab | Select: Use visual styles on
Windows and buttons | Apply | Apply | OK
If you select a visual style other than Windows Classic, that style
determines the appearance of your menus, fonts, icons, and other Window
elements. Including Windows and buttons.

In spayson84 <

I am running a Dell Dimension 4400, Pent 4 1.8 GHz with 1 Gig. I do
have SP2 installed.
I've got a strange one. In my Desktop Appearance for Windows and
Buttons, I no longer have Windows XP Style. I only have Classic
Windows Style. The machine seems to run just fine, except I believe
it's a little slow.
Also in my Explorer, the drop down address bar always clears after
closing Explorer. This happens no matter where I put my history
settings or my temporary files settings. Also it is only on my
profile. The Wife and Daughter have no problems in this.
I'm wondering if this is a SLOW fatal error and have to get it fixed
or if it is just a nusaince.
