Apparent issue with nvidia networking

Searching through the forums and through my own use, there is apparently a
(major) issue with the nvidia ethernet drivers on vista. Many people can only
surf google, some can't surf anything. I personally can pull up the main
msn.com page but that's it. Stateful Packet Inspection has been completely
disabled on my network.

Pinging doesn't work to any site, even the main dns's. Inside my network, it
works, but at limited speeds less than maybe 3kb/s. This problem is quite
rediculous, and looking through the boards, it's quite prevalent, so MS or
nVidia, can this please get fixed, it's incredibly frustrating to be using
this amazing OS, but the networking being completely crippled.

I *think* this may be an issue with the nVidia firewall. It has to be
installed so that it can then be uninstalled.

How did you disable SPI on your network? If it was disabled, then you
should be able to browse the web normally. (Vista itself cannot handle an
SPI firewall.)

I have an Nvidia nforce network controller, and I do not believe that the
firewall from Nvidia installed. The only thing that has helped me yet was
changing some advanced options in Device Manager - Jumbo packet & speed and
duplex settings. My download rate seems to have increased after switching to
vista ( no explination), but my browser speed is struggling still.
