Whenever a recipient replys to my HTML email, the apostrophe changes to
a carat and some other European looking letters, such as A and E and
some other unreadable characters.

Please help...... I'm using Office 2003 w/all updates Win XP home Serv

Did the font change? What language do you have set in Window's
configuration?

Sounds like you and your correspondent are using different font encodings.

Not sure what "font encoding" means, but, is there a default? The
apostrophe problem occurs every time. No one person, with everyone.

Look at Tools>Options>Mail Format>Fonts>International Fonts. What's the
"Defaul encoding"?

I would not know. I would guess they are also using the default. So
far no one as complained.
It happens with all my email recipients. I can't imagine they would all
be using a "different" font code.
