My aol IM wont work i was told that it may have something
to do with Antispyware.
ive uninstalled AIM and reinstalled it and nothing it
just wont boot up. ive removed Antispyware and still
nothing but there are still traces of the antispyware
program on my system. I really dont want to do a full
system reinstall. i did system restore and i got access
to AIM, then I closed it and it wont open again :( is it
because of Antispyware or cos im running it on a tablet
pc?
please can someone help me out

My own highly subjective hunch is that this isn't because of Microsoft
Antispyware.

If you've uninstalled Microsoft Antispyware, and have uninstalled and
reinstalled AIM, and it still won't start, I can't see how to blame
Microsoft Antispyware for that issue.

In addition, there have been 3 million downloads of Microsoft Antispyware,
and while my memory isn't perfect, I don't recall many other posts about
AIM--although I s'pose if the issue were AIM and Antispyware and Tablet the
number of machines might be small!

Do the install/uninstall operations for AIM seem to go normally? No error
messages?

There are traces left behind when Microsoft Antispyware is uninstalled--I'm
fairly sure these are quite intentional, and may allow for recovery of data
from quarantine across install/uninstall cycles, among other things. I
don't think they would interfere with the operation of other programs on the
PC.
