Aol and bellsouth help

Hi I have windows xp I've had aol for 2yr.
and went to bellsouth it use internet explorer
to log on the problem is when I click on
certen things it pulls up the aol page.
I have bellsouth accelerator and it pops
up to change its options and if I click it
it brings up aol page or if I click the mail
on the tool bar it bring up the aol page.
I would like to fix this. how do I stop
aol from poping up

On the Tools menu, click on Internet Options. On the general tab, type the
address of the homepage you'd like to use then click apply or ok.

That did not work I wonder if I would delete aol if
that would work hate to incase I would go back to it.
bellsouth said aol has to take off something.
