Anyone seen True Image just hang and do nothing?

Bought TI 9.0 recently. Installed on XP Home system.
Scheduled a test full backup archive to DVD: nothing.
Scheduled a test full backup archive to a HD: nothing.
Removed and re-installed.
Scheduled a test backup of one file to C:\ ....nothing doing.

It just sits there with one active task "Operation in Progress" 0%
progress with the little rotating red arrow in the system tray.

Changing priority has no effect.

Any ideas? TIA.

Download a later build from their web site.

If its the latest already, download a earlier build.

There's likely something about your system it doesnt like.

Or you didnt wait long enough, it can take a few minutes to get started.
Its basically scanning the drive and should have the led hd activity light on.

Yes, that works, thanks. Not sure what was up with my retail CD
version.

I presume when the 15 day trial expires I will be prompted for my
retail serial number, yes?

Acronis does tend to release stuff a bit early, and have
later builds available to download if you need them.

Yep.

Are your running any idle processes including any distributed computing
programs such as BOINC?

By default some version of True Image run backup threads at idle
priority by default, as BOINC, etc are already running on such a low
priority it means True Image get next to no CPU time (so it looks like
its hung up). Solution is to raise true images priority of stop/pause
BOINC (or whatever program you use).

DOH! Didn't read OP fully (missed the mention of priority)...
