Hi all,

Anyone know what this means?

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000004e
(0x00000007, 0x000066b0, 0x00012a01, 0x00000000).

A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini112705-01.dmp.

The system doesn't actually reboot. It hangs/freezes the system until I
press the reset button. I thought it may have been the Nvidia drivers. So, I
uninstalled the old and reinstalled the newer versions (using 81.95 now).

I see this may have something to do with a corrupt PFN list, (In Win 2000).
I'm using XP.

Or corrupt ram. BUT PFN_LIST_CORRUPT doesnt appear at the end of the dump
file (as the above error shows).

I know it isn't memory. The ram has been in the system for about 3 years,
and I've never had a prob, till this appeared.

And it looks like it has something to do with Norton Internet Security 2003
(yer I know this is old, but its good enough for me, and its up to date).

Because while I'm using a particular program, and the firewall is on, it
freezes. Turn Nortons off, it doesn't freeze, and works, as if nothing is
wrong.

Anyone else having a similar prob with Nortons IS 2003??

Invalid assumption. Suggest you run a complete batch of MEMTEST86
tests to check out your RAM.

I think you have answered your own question "Turn Nortons off, it
doesn't freeze, and works".

If Symantec/Norton can't provide you with a fix for the problem then
your best option is to ditch Norton completely and install the
security products you need from a different company. eTrust and Trend
Micro are two providers of quality, reliable products and there are
others as well.
