I must have deleted or uninstalled something.

In my efforts to get rid of a web page I lost my sounds,
like incoming male and beeps that I got when a trade was
exicuted ect.
My sound card seems to be ok, I can still hear in a chat
room but lost all the other alerts etc.

I tried reinstalling MS SP4, but that did nothing.

Can I relaod win 2000 pro again from my disk?

Will that caroupt any exsisting files I have?
or
What else can I try?
Thanks

Hi Rik,

Have you made certain that sounds are assigned to program events? For more
information search Windows 2000 Help for the topic titled "To assign sounds to
program events". If the Windows Default Sound Scheme files (C:\WINNT\Media:
canyon.mid, passport.mid, chimes.wav, chord.wav,
ding.wav, tada.wav, notify.wav,

Tried what u sugestewd and all fix by deleting Null value
in reg. Thanks a million.
