....it seems to be something new that's popped up when I
view "Processes" under "Task Manager." Likewise, I'm
having some difficulty trying to figure out the difference
between:

1) "mxtask.exe" and "mstask.exe"
2) "TrayMon.exe" and "mm_tray.exe" and "mxmon.exe"

Also, my minimized windows are not visible on the taskbar
and I can only seem to access each window by using the
Task Manager.

My system is a Dell Inspiron 4100, Celeron 800 processor,
128 megs of RAM, W2KP Upgrade over Win98SE.

Thanks in advance for helping to unflumox me.

When in doubt always run a virus scan on your computer with the latest virus
definitions. To find more information on a process or executable try searching
http://google.com web and groups for the name. SysInternals makes an excellent
free process viewer which will map the process to the owning
application/service/folder which will be very helpful and right clicking the
process will give additional helpful information. You may also want to download
TCPView from them to display information on processes used for network
connections also displaying their associated ports. --- Steve
