Heya, I was just wondering if Windows by now has
softwared a program that will release your RAM either
efficiently or allow the user to do so manually, so that
you don't have to reboot it so darn much! Now, I do have
XP Home Edition, and I must say that it is better in many
repects than the previous versions, but when opening up
big files at the same time or in succession, it doesn't
take long till the computer's dragging. Does anyone know
of a program Microsoft has engineered or if anyone has
tried out a program that does so and well while not
causing errors? Thank you for your time and have a good
day:)

Hey Bryan,

How much physical RAM do you have in your system.
Do you let the system manage your pagefile or have you entered your own
settings, if so , what are they.
Do you ever get "Out of Virtual Memory"

When your system slows down, go into task manager and make a note of the 3
numbers on the Performance Screen under Commit Charge and Post them. Thats
Total,Limit and Peak.

Also check on the cpu usage when the system is slow. Post the names of any
processes from the process screen using more than a few percent of cpu.
