Automatic update kicked in today and told me that there was a new patch that
I should install. It also said that there was no way to uninstall it. The
last time I installed a critical security update (824145) it broke normal
scrolling behavior in IE6 and a couple of other places. It irritated me so
much that I uninstalled it and switched to another browser, since MSFT has
still not officially acknowledged the problem.
Although I no longer care about IE, I am still running W2K. Since there
seems to be no way to turn back, I am a bit nervous about installing the
latest update. What side effects, if any, have you noticed?
