page etc - I just had new memory put in so it cant be the
memory :( its a nightmare and no one seems to know why it
does it - Just like a long loud annoying drag that slows
the song when i open a window or scroll with the bar at
the side or my mouse.

Maybe bo one will EVER know :'(

1. Check for availability of audio and/ or mouse driver updates from your
vendor site(s).

2. Right-Click blank area of desktop
Select Properties | Settings | Advanced | Troubleshoot
decrement (move) slider one notch to left

See if that helps. If not...

3. Right-Click blank area of desktop
Select Properties | Appearance | Effects
UnCheck all items, one-by-one, and see if the problem persists.

Don't know what you are using to play music, but, if WMP is your player of
choice, check to make sure SRS WOW effects and Equalizer are disabled. If
so, and still having problems you will likely need to dig deeper into
potential hardware issues. What you are seeing is most likely a hardware
acceleration problem, but that is only a best guess based upon your initial
post.
