anyone buy an 8800 card from nvidia for vista?!?!?

sick of being tricked and lied to? they have the balls to say "vista ready"
on the boxes, and to promise a "final" driver by the time vista went
retail... (sure, how else would they get us to buy their garbage)

Im not exactly happy with nvidia vista drivers, but if I was going to bash
anyones vista drivers, it would be creative drivers. THEY ARE JUNK! They
still dont know when they will have a vista certified driver avaliable! Ive
heard March?!
 
Who lied to you? Who tricked you?

1. NVIDIA has drivers that work with Vista. It's not NVIDIA's problem that
you can't build a decent machine.
2. The boxes say Vista ready and they are. Aside from the early Nov
Business users like me but I dealt with it.
3. NO ONE promised you final drivers at launch. Quit dreaming.
4. That site is a JOKE! They BS about their GAMES not working. Third party
games have nothing to do with NVIDIA or Vista. Third party game devs need
to put out their own updates.

Sure, the drivers have bugs but they're still in beta. Quit your crying,
you've already been told MANY MANY MANY times that the latest NVIDIA drivers
work with Vista. You obviously have other issues.

no one promised? maybe you should do some research. theres an official
nvidia PR release that says "our drivers will be ready when vista is ready
for the retail public". did you miss that one stupid?

nvidia has released BETA drivers in their main download site to try and make
people happy. go look for yourself.... did you see the latest press release?
where they apologize that the drivers are NOT ready? missed that one too
stupid?

why coment when you have no idea what youre talking about?

Hahahaha. That's funny coming from you! All you do is call people stupid
yet you're the one that can't get your POS computer to work. You can't take
your pathetic poor computer building aggressions out on me. That would mean
I actually gave a crap about you.

Fact, I have two machines using 8800GTX and both run SUPER FAST in the
graphics department with no problems. I'm not missing DX10 because DX10 IS
NOT EVEN OUT YET!

And someone else just posted never by ATI cards -- well that will make
life rather interesting -- no ATI, no nvidia....

If it works then why have you bitched about NVIDIA drivers at least a dozen
times in this newsgroup?

So, NOW you claim your machine works fine. Since that was generalized then
that statement also means your 8800 also works FINE with the NVIDIA drivers
and works FINE with Vista.

So for a person who's card and drivers are working FINE you sure do a whole
lot of bitching about a whole lot of nothing.

result is that you have nothing real to say or contribute. You cry and you
whine about things of which you later claim are not a problem or you don't

everything and how your 8800 doesn't work but it does work.
 
im bitching, stupid, along with 1000 other people AND an attorney who is
considering a class action suit.

you see, stupid, unlike you, our mommy didnt buy our hardware so that we
could waste our time playing the latest video game. in your case, stupid,
the BETA drivers they have given you might work fine. but in a BUSINESS
application, small bugs sometimes cause serious problems. would you know
about that? probably not. so stupid, now can you understand why we might be
pissed? we paid a lot of money after being promised the cards would have
FINAL drivers, and be VISTA READY, neither of those 2 things have happened
yet, stupid.
 
Wrong, wrong and more wrong.

Wrong #1: I use one 8800 for work and one 8800 for home.
Wrong #2: I seriously doubt many business users are going to use the 8800.
However please provide links to statistic that show otherwise.
Wrong #3: Only an idiot (you in this case) would purchase unproven hardware
for production business. But don't worry, this is a good lesson to learn
early in life and you just learned it. There's a certain thing called
RESEARCHING PRODUCT BEFORE YOU BUY IT. Maybe next time you'll know
better....but I doubt it.
Wrong #4: Not a single business case is reported on that site. It's full of
nothing but pissed off gamers.
Wrong #5: Just because there's a VERY SUSPICIOUS 1,200 "registered users"
right on the even spot of which it never goes up, does not mean Troy has a
case. It means there are a fictional 1,200 people that are pissed because
their game(s) doesn't work on Vista, not because they don't have working
video drivers for Vista.

I just ran a search on "troy" and "stupid". Troy has used the word stupid
92 times in this NG. Wow! That's a whole lot of STUPID coming from one
person.

anything that was wrong. Thus he's not wrong. Bschnur and Michael Cecil
also didn't post anything that was wrong. So once again, not everyone is

goes out to you.
