Anyone a clue on the RTA for the 939 boards?

I need to build a new system, but am holding on until the 939 chipset boards
are released. I had heard a global release date of 25/03, but six weeks have
come and gone and I've yet to find a (UK) site selling them.

Thinking it would future-proof a little, as the 754s are at the end of their
life.

Well the Cnet UK article talks about the end of May possibly being the
intro for the chips so around there? The few posts that Ive seen that
claim a date is June 1st.

They also say AMD is known for changing dates around to suit large
custormers so who knows.

Usually you hear a bunch of hype about intros of new stuff so that
everyone seems to know way ahead of time but this time everyone seems
confused.

Like when is PCI Express coming out? Some posts say when the 939
comes out there will be some PCI - E boards.

754s do seem like old news but articles did point out new CPUs will
probably come out in that form making it a viable low end segment for
the AMD market.

Not to mention that it's pretty damn fast right now, and with the release of
the 3700+ sometime this summer (?) it will continue to be pretty damn fast
for a while yet. If it is relegated to value status anytime in the near
future, it will certainly be one of the punchiest "value" solutions you can
find. I think some people are forgetting, or simply aren't aware of, how
well the 754 Athlon 3400+ matched up to the 940 FX.
