Hi all,

I have been trying to set the delegates permissions centrally instead of
hoping that the users do what they are told to (when did that ever
happen?!).

Is there any ways to do this? I have tried to import the "Office 2003 Group
policies" templates for AD but it has nothing with regards to the Delegates
permissions.

Help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

David G-J

Exactly what permissions are you trying to set?

As it is right now each client is set up by the user himself, resultning in
different permissions for each client.

I would like to give all users read access to each others calendar. And
then remove all other settings that might have been set.

Thanks,

David

That doesn't really answer my question. Making a person a delegate makes three changes -- setting permissions on one or more folders, adding the Send On Behalf permission to the delegate, and creating a rule in the user's mailbox to sent meeting and task requests to the delegate. I wanted to know which of those you really want to do.

If it's just to set folder permissions, get the free PFDavAdmin tool from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=635BE792-D8AD-49E3-ADA4-E2422C0AB424. It can manage mailbox folder permissions, as well as public folder permissions.

Hi Sue,

sorry that I did not get that...

All we want is the possebility to control the access for other users to the
Calendar. The permission under the Delegates function is Read.

I hope this answers your question.

Thanks,

David

The tool I suggested should do what you want.
