I read some where (can't find it now) that someone was running a 2 Ghz
Pentium 4 in an Asus P3C2000 motherboard.

Anyone try this?

If not, what's the fastest processor you have successfully run in the
board?

TIA,

This is fundamentally impossible, given entirely different bus
protocols.

With a Tualatin adapter and a recent BIOS I'd assume anything up to a
PIII-S 1.4 would work. This, btw, is roughly as fast as an old P4 2.0
GHz.

From what I read about that mobo, I wouldn't spend that kind of money.
There are plenty of upgrade amd boards(sdram) that support
cpu's up to amd 2100+, just bought that cpu and fan for 62$.

That's what I thought. I found where it was listed and it was in a
persons signature who posted to a video editing group.

This is what I thought the cieling was for this board.

Thank you!

Good point, forgot to write about that - i820 with MTH (recalled) isn't
the best in terms of speed and stability...
