Has anyone got an upgrade planned for this year?

There have been quite a few new games out that are pretty demanding (BioShock, Crysis etc...), so I jumped in after putting it off for ages!
Not sure how long the feeling of having a decent PC will last though :lol:
 
Next on the list is a Q6600 (G0 of course) and Vista, timeframe = unknown. :)

Maybe a new keyboard and speakers at some point....
 
Definately a monitor..

Have the following specs

AMD x2 3800
2 GB Memory
8600GT
80GB Sata HDD

should be ok for a while, but my 15" LG as reliable as it is , just is not good enough :(
 
Where do you want me to start!
My over heating problem has returned so i'm looking into that.
May just need a better heatsink & fan and some more fans inside the case to keep things cool.
I'm out of warranty so at least the job will get done to a high standard by me!!!:nod:
 
next for me graphic card 8800gtx?

maybe new motherboard
2 more gig of ram
maybe vista when sp1 comes out

You'll notice a big difference with something like a 19" TFT :) They are around £100 now :thumb:
 
once again hard drive space is becoming an issue so i'll prob be getting a couple of 500GB samsungs in the next month or so to keep me going, may even build a cheapo system like my friend and turn it into a NAS server

a decent keyboard would be nice i currently have some £2 jobbie that i got about 3yrs ago so thats next on my list, i do like the look of the G11 and the saitek illuminated ones so i might get myself a christmas present along with the hard drives :D

and then once the funds are available a decent 22" monitor just to use up what little remaining space there is on my desk and by that time i'll probably be coming up to the 2yr mark for this system so i'll be thinking about a new sytem to go with it
