Yes.
just ordered one from www.warehouse.express.com and they are out. what
else would you lot suggest?

I'm still confused about many things with the Spyder2.

1 - it gave me an error message at the end the 1st time and I had to
manually add the profile to the [Color Management] options in the [Control
panel][Display]. Worked OK after that.

2 - It applies the profile but the ProfileChooser doesn't do as its name
implies. I created 2 profiles for the same monitor. One to use during the
day when the monitor is set to bright and one for the night with the
brightness tuned down (makes sense, no ?). I just can't figure out how to
switch from one to the other. The ProfileChooser picks one up and that's it.

3 - The ProfileChooser _applies_ the profile to the monitor. Meaning to
every app. Meaning I must _not_ choose this profile into applications that
can handle profiles (VueScan, PSP...), otherwise the profile gets applied
twice and the colors become _really_ off.

Other than that I think the software sucks.

Hi.

I presume you mean the monitor only Spyder 2.

Have you tried Amazon, I know I saw it listed somewhere other than Warehouse
Express very recently, but cannot remember which site.

There seems to be some rationalisation or range changing with Spyders at the
moment. I believe that the Spyder 2 Print Fix (the one at around £270) has
actually just been discontinued.

Guillame who replied, seems to have problems, but he is putting his profiles
in the wrong place. Profiles should all be kept in the C > Windows > System
32 > Spool > Drivers > Colour Folder.

It will certainly show up in the "Display > Colour Management" dialogue, but
that is only where you choose which is your Default Monitor Profile.

And changing the Monitor Brightness depending on Ambient lighting does not
make any sense. Keeping the room brightness constant does make sense.

If I come across the stockist I will let you know.

Yes, but it's difficult to achieve. It's not like I'm allowed to build a
house around the monitor... C;-)

What? Don't you have any curtains?

Remember that setting the "Brightness Level" (Black Point") is part of the
process required before building the Monitor Profile. After having done that
it should be left untouched.
