any software that can automatically rename the files

Hi all

i am a professional photographer, i have thousands of pictures in
different folders, now i want to save all those files in one single
folder, but the problem is that there are many files which are with
similer names. is there any software that can pick all those files
automatically change the names and save them in one folder, other wise
i have to spend a lot of time in manually renaming the similer names
files.
 
The answer is no.
However, if you are willing to understand how XP can batch rename files as
you move them in a single folder as you want to do, you can greatly simplify
your task and get this job done without too much pain.
